"Coding"

Bottom-up coding

  • In Firefox, open the web page you want to analyze (HTML or plain text). In the menu, choose Display > Side panel > LaSuli.
  • If the page is plain text and continues on the right side, choose Display > Word Wrap in the menu.
  • Add attributes to the page (e.g. "name", "author", "date"...).
  • Click on the "+" tab, type the name of your analysis and click on the "create" button.

  • Select a fragment in the text. Right-click, choose Categorize with LaSuli > '...'. For other fragments, you will be able to create an other category or use the same category.

  • Type the name of categories.

  • Once you have several categories, launch Porphyry on our sandbox server. In the menu, choose Viewpoint > Open.... Accept the given service. Choose "guest". Choose the analysis you did earlier. In the menu, choose Viewpoint > Edit... and your viewpoint.
  • Control-click (or command-click on Mac) the topics you want to gather and choose Viewpoint > Create a topic > Generic in the menu. Type the name of this topic.

Top-down coding

  • In the menu, choose Analyst > Create.... Accept the given service. Type "guest" as login and full name.
  • In the menu, choose Viewpoint > Create.... Accept the given service. Choose "guest". Type a name for your analysis.

  • In the menu, choose Viewpoint > Edit... and your viewpoint.
  • For every upper topic you want, choose Viewpoint > Create a topic > Isolated and type its name.
  • For every subtopic you want, select the parent, choose Viewpoint > Create a topic > Specific and type its name.

  • In Firefox, open the web page you want to analyze (HTML or plain text). In the menu, choose Display > Side panel > LaSuli.
  • If the page is plain text and continues on the right side, choose Display > Word Wrap in the menu.
  • Add attributes to the page (e.g. "name", "author", "date"...).
  • Click on the "+" tab and choose the viewpoint you created before in Porphyry.

  • Select a fragment in the text. Right-click, choose Categorize with LaSuli and the appropriate category.
